Product description

Blakite refractory mortar up to 1650 ° C. Refractory mortars are usually supplied as ready-made liquid mixtures of finely ground aggregate and special binders. They achieve good strength when air-drying, creating strong joints and an almost solid brick structure.

Blakite - a highly refractory dark gray mortar, which has the property of good water binding. Especially developed for laying heat-resistant insulating bricks, also suitable for high-refractory bricks with high alumina content, at operating temperatures up to 1650 ° C.

It is produced in a consistency suitable for thin joints and puttying, but requires the addition of about 5% immersion water. Blakite is a good solution as a single general mortar applied for various purposes in projects using mainly heat-insulating bricks as well as heavy heat-resistant bricks.

Features

  • Good workability, perfect plasticity and water binding
  • Small shrinkage when drying and firing
  • High fire resistance
  • High bond strength
  • Good resistance to chemicals
  • Stable chemical composition

Application

  • Laying insulating heat-resistant bricks, high-strength bricks and heavy high-alumina bricks
  • Ensuring resistance to air and hot gas penetration
  • Amateur or laboratory baking ovens
  • Slowing down the penetration of slag and molten metals into joints
