Product description

JM refractory bricks are made of high purity refractory clays, with a gradually increasing proportion of alumina for the product intended for use at higher temperatures, and carefully saturated with organic filler, which burns out during the production process to give a uniform, controlled porous structure. To achieve the required tolerances, all six walls of each brick are machined.

properties

  • Low thermal conductivity: Good thermal insulation, allows the use of thin-walled structures.
  • Low heat accumulation: Due to their low weight and low thermal conductivity, JM bricks absorb a minimal amount of heat, enabling significant energy savings in cyclically operating furnaces.
  • Purity: The very low content of iron and alkali gives high fire resistance, while the high content of alumina contributes to stability in a reducing atmosphere.
  • High pressure resistance at high temperatures.
  • Accurate dimensions: They allow fast laying of bricks with narrow and uniform joints, so that the structures are strong and stable.
  • Large bricks or slabs: Available in dimensions: 230 x 610 x 64 or 76mm and 250 x 640 x 64mm.
  • They can be machined into different shapes, thus reducing the number of elements in the joints.
  • Properly designed packaging: Protects the product during transport (cartons contain 4 to 25 pieces, depending on the shape) and facilitates unloading at the destination.

Typical applications

Recommended for use as the first layer of refractory lining or as back insulation behind other refractory linings in furnaces, kilns, fire channels, refining chambers and furnaces, regenerators, gas generators and mains, pit furnaces, stress relief annealing furnaces, reactor chambers similar high temperature industrial equipment.
